Ready to learn or brush up on your sewing skills? Here is your opportunity to receive one-on-one sewing instruction, tailored to your skill level and sewing goals. Along the way, you’ll also learn techniques that help you sew better and smarter. A small group lesson is also available, with up to three students at a time.

Alterations Workshop - Maitland
Next Class: April 4, 5, 10:00 - 4:00 PM
If you are not a perfect size, this class is for you! In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to alter the clothes you buy to make them fit and feel like custom made. Mary will show you how to assess the fit of your garments and how to pin, mark and stitch the changes. Bring those unfinished objects (UFO’s) that you need help with.
Skill level: Advanced beginner; must know how to operate sewing machine.

Bodice Fit Workshop - Rockledge

If you still struggle to get the right fit, join Mary McCarthy, Certified Fit Specialist for this hands-on fit workshop. You will learn how to how to tissue fit your pattern and pin fit your garment. We’ll address fit issues in the bust, arms, shoulders and more. Work on a pattern of your choice. Don’t miss this opportunity to get the right fit. Mary McCarthy is an accomplished dressmaker and educator whose passion for sewing spans many years. She teaches all levels, from beginner to advanced couture, in a variety of settings that include full-day workshops, weekly classes, and individual lessons.
